This slogan shapes our activities in research and teaching. Thematically, we focus on current research topics in asset and risk management. Our mostly empirical oriented research projects are intended to compete in the international top class. For an overview to some of our successful research projects see the "Research" section.

Our teaching courses convey a deep understanding of finance to students. In these courses we want to strengthen the students' ability to reflect and apply theoretical knowledge to specific problems. Furthermore our close cooperations with companies in the financial industry support our students by bridging the gap between theory and practice.
